We are planning to use a slightly different course for 2010, which should improve safety without reducing the overall speed or length of the course. Instead of starting on the lower relief road, we plan to start at the top of the Coirre na Ciste car park.
This means that Roy's Corner (formerly known as "The Hairpin") will be approached from the opposite direction, turning it into a fast right/left combination. It also gives a large run off into the heather should things go a little pear shaped.
We had hoped to have done some testing by now to provide updated speed profile and drivers eye video of the course, but the fantastic winter season up at Cairngorm means that there is still significant snow on the mountain, and consequently the road is very busy with skiers.
